You will need:

1 cup almond milk
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 frozen banana
2 scoops strawberry or vanilla flavor protein powder|
3 ice cubes

Instructions

In a blender, mix all the ingredients and blend until smooth. Gradually add the ice cubes and blend. Serve in a tall glass and enjoy!

TIP: You can also add more almond milk to adjust the thickness of the shake. You can also use coconut milk as a substitute for almond milk. If you used vanilla protein powder, you can add a drop of strawberry syrup to intensify the fruitiness of the berry.

2. Pumpkin Spice Protein Shake

You will need:

1 can pure pumpkin puree
4 scoops vanilla frozen yogurt
1 cup low-fat milk
½ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
A pinch of nutmeg

Optional: whipped cream and confectioner’s sugar

Instructions:

In a blender, combine all the ingredients except for the nutmeg and whipped cream. Blend until smooth and frothy. Add more milk until you get the desired thickness. Transfer to a tall glass and top it off with whipped cream and a pinch of nutmeg.

TIP: You can use low-calorie or lite vanilla ice cream in place of frozen yogurt.

3. Hazel Nut Coffee Protein Shake

You will need:

1 cup Hazel nut iced coffee mix
½ cup light coconut milk
2 scoops chocolate whey protein
½ frozen banana
A handful of roasted hazel nuts

Instructions

Using a high-powered blender, mix all the ingredients together and blend for a couple of minutes. Blend until the roasted nuts are nice and fine. Serve in a tall glass and enjoy.

TIP: You can substitute coconut milk with almond or rice milk.

4. Maple and Blueberry Protein Shake

You will need:

½ cup low-fat yogurt or cottage cheese
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
½ cup frozen blueberries
½ teaspoon maple extract
½ teaspoon flaxseed meal
Your favorite sweetener
10 ice cubes
¼ cup distilled water

Instructions

In a blender, add all the ingredients together except for the sweetener and blend until frothy and smooth. If the shake is too runny, just add more ice. If it’s too thick, adjust it by adding more distilled water. After the final blend, add your favorite sweetener.

TIP: You can give your protein shake a nice boost of antioxidants by adding a handful of spinach or kale. The greens will not change the flavor of the shake at all!

5. Papaya Ginger Protein Shake

You will need:

1 ½ cup fresh papaya, cut into chunks and chilled
1 cup ice
½ cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
2 teaspoons fresh ginger, peeled and chopped
Fresh lemon extract
1 teaspoon agave nectar
a sprig of mint

Instructions

In a blender, add all ingredients together except for the agave nectar. Blend until you achieved the desired consistency. Once done, you can add the sweetener and adjust the taste accordingly. If you added too much nectar, add a little water.
